Author Guidelines

Do not modify the font size or any element of the following template. All manuscripts should be submitted as a Microsoft Word document. Include all sections of the manuscript in the same document to the extent possible. You may upload separate documents for tables, figures, and appendices, if needed.

All text should be in Book Antiqua, 12-point font and 1,15 spaced. Only the titles of page 1 and page 2 will be in 20-point. Do not modify the bold font and the purple color. The acknowledgments should be placed before the footnotes. The footnotes, on the other hand, should be placed at the end of the text, before the references.

Manuscripts should follow the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (7th edition). Please remove all automatic referencing features from the document and ensure that in text citations and references are text. Furthermore, do not copy the text in the source format and adapt it to the template format.

Submissions should be approximately between 4,000 and 8,000 words in length, including abstracts, notes, references, and appendices.

Abstract

Abstract in a single paragraph of between 150 and 200 words, clearly and concisely presenting the purpose and objective of the article. It is recommended to structure the abstract without explicit headings, following this order: (1) Background: place the issue addressed within a broader context and highlight the study’s objective; (2) Methods: describe the methodology used; (3) Results: summarize the most relevant findings; (4) Conclusions: state the main conclusions or interpretations derived. The abstract should objectively represent the content of the article, without including results not presented in the main text or exaggerating the conclusions.

Keywords

(Between 3-5 Keywords)

Introduction

Page margins must follow these guidelines: 3 cm left margin, 2 cm right margin, and 2 cm top and bottom margins. The article should be written in justified paragraphs, using the Book Antiqua font, 12 pt, and single-spaced. The maximum length of the paper is 15 pages on A4 paper, including tables, figures, and appendices. Additional pages will incur an extra charge. In-text citations should follow APA style, for example: …….as stated (Edwards & Chelst, 2015).

The introduction must present the research background, the research gap being addressed, and the theoretical and practical contributions of the study. Ensure that previous research is presented sufficiently well to demonstrate that the author has mastered the body of knowledge in the literature. Present the introductory material in narrative paragraphs and avoid numbered lists or bullet points.

Conclusion

Conclusions and recommendations should be written in narrative paragraphs, not as a numbered list. For example… further research is needed on slope stability analysis using licensed Geostudio software to create simulations of retaining walls and backfilling, thereby yielding more accurate safety factors (FK).
